Gameplay data: puzzles solved, duels played, scores, usernames, avatars
Device and usage data: device type, operating system, crash logs (via Firebase, TestFlight, or Sentry)
Location data (optional): city-level location if you choose to share it
Payment data: handled directly by Apple App Store and Google Play

Legal basis under GDPR
We process personal data based on:
Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – to provide the app and its features
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – for optional location sharing and email sign-up
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the service
You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your settings or emailing us.
Storage and retention
Data is currently stored on servers in Norway. We may change hosting providers within the EEA. We keep gameplay and analytics data for up to one year unless longer retention is required for legitimate business or legal reasons. Waiting-list emails are removed upon request or one year after inactivity.
Sharing and third-party services
We may use the following processors:
Firebase (Google LLC) – analytics and crash reporting
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) – anonymous error and performance logging
Apple App Store and Google Play – account and payment processing
Framer CMS – collecting waiting-list sign-ups
All providers process data under GDPR-compliant terms.
Children
Sudoku Time! is intended for users aged 4 and above.
If we learn that data from a younger child has been collected without parental consent, we will delete it.
